Brian Kopelowitz


Brian Kopelowitz co-founded Kopelowitz Ostrow, P.A. and has overseen the firm’s growth from five lawyers in 2001 to 35 lawyers today with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Miami. Kopelowitz heads KO’s real estate litigation department, where he handles a wide range of real estate based litigation claims on behalf of loan servicers, originators, and lenders, as well as related real estate portfolio based transactions. His clients originate, service and own thousands of secured residential and commercial loans nationwide. He is consistently named a Top Lawyer in the field of Real Estate Litigation as published in the South Florida Legal Guide. Kopelowitz is a graduate of The American University in Washington, D.C. and Nova Southeastern University Law School, where he graduated with honors.
Kopelowitz proudly serves on NSU Ambassadors Board, the Executive Board of Business for the Arts of Broward and the Executive Board of Jewish Family Services of Broward County. He is on the Advisory Board of Starmark International, Inc. and sits on the Board of Directors at Jer’s Chocolates, a subsidiary of BBX Capital Corp (NYSE BBX). Kopelowitz is also a Managing Member of One West Las Olas, LLC, a real estate development company based in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
