Samantha Tesser Haimo has over 17 years of experience in all areas of civil litigation. Ms. Haimo has an extensive commercial practice, with experience in both jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts, as well as appellate courts. Her broad-based litigation experience includes complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, professional malpractice, representation of both employers and employees in all types of employment matters, including, but not limited to, sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, violations of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and Americans with Disabilities Act, probate litigation and civil matters involving real estate. Ms. Haimo also specializes in representing individual and institutional clients in every aspect of securities litigation before The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Her experience also includes litigation of business torts, breach of contract and negligence actions. She has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution and related arbitration and mediation procedures.
Ms. Haimo is a founding partner of Feigeles & Haimo LLP, a 100% woman-owned law firm, which acts as of counsel to Kopelowitz Ostrow on numerous matters.
Ms. Haimo has taught as an Adjunct Law Professor at Nova Southeastern University and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh, Fifth and Federal Circuits. She also has been admitted to practice in several other federal districts around the country. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Haimo is active in numerous community, philanthropic and civic organizations.
